The conservation programme that we’re running is called the Blue Project by AMD-B. This programme has been officially introduced since 2019. In general, the purpose are to reduce and educate both employees or AMD-B’s Divemaster Interns about the marine environment.

We do monthly beach and underwater clean-up around Padangbai area and also conduct socialization and beach clean-up collaborated with school which is done on Seminyak beach. Collaborating with an NGO (Ocean Mimic) to participate weekly beach clean-ups in Canggu area and supporting charity programme conducted by Ocean Mimic, which is exchanging plastic bottle waste for rice.

We also make field trips to NGOs or related local communities to increase the knowledge of AMD-B’s Divemaster Interns about the environment they are involved in. Our field trip programmes included:

  • Visit to Turtle Conservation – Kurma Asih
  • Training, planting and monitoring of coral reefs – NDRF
  • Mangrove training and transplantation
  • Waste management training with local communities and more expert institutions

In our daily operations we have reduced a lot of single-use plastics. Separating types of recycled waste and using left-over food as compost.
